Introduction to Dataverse

Dataverse is a foundational data source of Microsoft Power Platform.
It lets you securely manage and store the data in the cloud.
Data within Dataverse is stored within a set of tables similar to how a table stores data within a database. Each table will have a set of columns. Each column in the table is designed to store a certain type of data.
Relationships between two tables can be directly defined in the dataverse.
Dataverse has a set of standard tables. And custom tables can be created by the user.

Its Role-based security allows you to provide access to users based on the roles.
Users can see only the areas to which they have access.
To run a smooth business process you can define logic and validations using the out of the box calculated columns, business rules, workflows, and business process flows to ensure data quality.
